SELFRIDGES DUKE STREET ENCHANTED CHRISTMAS

October 2014

High end merchandise display for the festive season

The Selfridges windows team collaborated with Propability to produce an enchanted Christmas window scene for the Duke Street façade of the store. Recreating visuals provided by Selfridges, it was an impressive project that out performed on expectation and delivered impact and effect beyond the original concept.

Captivating props produced for a distinctive vision

Displays were created to encase specific high end merchandise. Propability produced all props including; book-rivers, gold glittered boulders, giant books (one of which was designed and produced to hold Beluga Vodka Bottles), coloured acrylic shapes, printed acrylic agate fossil slices and real birch trees with a colour fade or gold finish. Each was positioned to feature product in an almost ‘treasure chest’ fashion with a festive and enchanted feel.

As always, embracing challenges and overcoming obstacles, the Propability team turned the project around in a limited time frame and with restricted access to the space. The book-rivers, whilst hugely effective to the eye and overall visual appearance of the window were logistically challenging - the team were required to devise a method to create and transport them in a manageable way and so that they could be rebuild on site with ease.

Bringing creative spirit to life and making a charming impression

Propability literally brought the initial visuals prepared by the Selfridges team to life. Selfridges said it themselves and we agree, it is not often the case that the actual window looks better than the original visual. This was definitely the case with these windows.

Just a quick thanks for all of your hard work with us over the past couple of months – the windows have gone down a storm, and everyone is very impressed with the overall finish of the installations, particularly the extraordinary prop elements you’ve created for us. Duke St looks exactly like the visuals (better even!) All looking incredible!
