BEAUTY & THE BEAST - DISNEY
February 2017
An 'into another world' retail experience
To supportsales around the new film, Propability created a Beauty and the Beast environment that represented the Beast’s elaborate castle and private rooms. The stores main castle was incorporated into the design – dressed with banners, graphics, roses and the characters Belle and Beast. The main structure of the interior was created from MDF and timber before being scenically treated and painted to look like stone. Large crystal chandeliers were suspended from the ceiling to add to the candle-lit environment. The scene incorporated a castle window and snow wall carefully designed to allow customers standing on the exterior side of the window to see into the environment.
Other features included: a real plaster fireplace, a hearth painted to look like marble and a portrait of the Beast's family painted in house by a Propability scenic artist amongst other sourced props and elements.
