Technicolor Odyssey Windows
Collaborating with the Selfridges creative team, Propability helped create the windows across the store for the promotion of the Pat McGrath Mothership pop up at Selfridges London Corner Shop. The windows take passers-by on a journey of obsession and artistry with each window inspired by the makeup range available in store. Propability created most of the walls and floors for each window, which were covered in fabrics and colour acrylic mirror as well as various other props and features. In two of the windows Propability created a raised floor which was build strong enough for people to walk on top of. The floors were constructed with recessed squares covered in silver mirror with florescent LED light strips. In another, a mound of makeup was produced in coloured Idenden and painted purple before being glued with glitter, a faux neon light strip wiggles its way down. In another a sculpted bonsai tree covered in thick silver cable with pink and purple LED lights was created with an oval mesh above it to produce a spectacular visual delight composed of acrylic shaped leaves, flowers and lights hung to provide a stunning, glittering light display. For the atrium, additional elements were created with columns covered in different textures, faux fur, strips of leather, foam strips or fringing. Each one was constructed at different heights and uses mechanical animation to add movement. Each of the plinths or columns were colour coded to match the respective colour palette of each floor in store.
